Groove Box are a nationwide dance music promoter specialising in outdoor events. I was commissioned to paint various sponsors’ logos across a variety of surfaces throughout the year, and to brand a Groove Box backdrop, barrels and tables. Using durable outdoor paint ensured the artwork withstood weather and heavy use, while allowing quick rebranding between events — a practical, long-lasting solution that kept the festival spaces looking professional and on-message.
At the Binks Yard venue we, Kid30, were commissioned to design and create backdrops and signage for their sell-out event “Scare Fest Nottingham.” This was a fantastic project where we had full creative freedom. We developed concepts and executed set design, painting, distressing, and large-scale murals, while also suggesting thematic threads and visual treatments for different areas of the site. The result was immersive, cohesive scenery that amplified the event’s atmosphere and helped deliver an unforgettable experience for attendees.
